I had such a great experience with Andrew, and highly, highly recommend him! From scoping out my projects in order to provide advice for obtaining the best results visually and practically for the space, to his willingness to work within my budget, and flexibility with my changing schedule, Andrew was absolutely the best. His business name is "Carpentry", but should be called Artisanry, for his talents in achieving beautiful results. Projects that Andrew created for me included: a custom windowseat (which he lined with cedar to double as a blanket chest, something I'd never have thought of); A half-bath remodel, making much better use of a limited space; reframing a complicated double window in an upstairs bathroom; A stunning entryway remodel, using beadboard to highlight the original architecture of the home; rebuilding the entryway and stairs; moving and recreating the entrance and stairway to a wrap-around porch.
Andrew made sure that I was completely happy with every aspect of his work, and was always professional. He cleaned up the work area every day before leaving for the day, so it never felt like I was living in demo-land, which had been an issue with so many other contractors through the years. Andrew is in the midst of remodeling our porch to make it a three season space. He built two new landings and stairways and fitted a storm door before the snow stopped him (we hired him late in the season). Finding some wood rot, he chose to wait to replace the second storm door until he can fix the structure. This spring, he'll finish the project by adding windows all around the porch and putting a nice wood and lattice skirt around the outside. We are so pleased with Andrew's craftsmanship, attention to detail and concern for giving us his best efforts for our money. His pricing is reasonable and his work ethic is excellent. If you are in need of a carpenter, HIRE THIS MAN!
Andrew just finished a complete remodel of my bathroom. Right from the beginning it went smoothly. From the planning, gutting, choosing & purchasing of items, it was pretty stress free & actually fun! Andrew's attention to detail & quality of work is excellent & just what I needed for this project. I highly recommend him. The finished result is fabulous!
Andrew built us a TV stand to match our antiqued wall unit and he also rebuilt our portico railing. The quality of his work is second to none and he is a joy to work with. I highly recommend him.
